Victoria Ledbetter was born on February 04, 1948, to the parentage of Preston and Irma Ledbetter in Verona, MS. She was the oldest of ten living children. She attended Mary C. Wade Elementary School, Verona, MS, George Washington Carver High School, Tupelo, MS where she maintained a 2.7 GPA, and also played basketball; her position was running forward. She attended Mississippi Industrial College, Holly Springs, MS, where she obtained a degree in Business Administration.
Victoria’s walk with Christ began at an early age at Chandlers Temple CME Church in Verona MS. After relocating to St. Louis, MO, she joined Hopewell M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor: Rev. Dr. Donald Ray McNeal. She was a very faithful member who loved singing soprano in the choir, and Sunday school was her favorite part of the service, because she loved studying the word of God. In November 2012 she moved to Huntsville, TX and joined Greater Robinson Memorial Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor: Supt. Charles H. Greggs. She was a member of Pastor’s Aide Committee and loved her Pastor and wife unconditionally.
Family was everything to Victoria, she was the mother of one amazing handsome son - Terry Gibson, wife Cynthia, and three awesome grandchildren, Simeon, Deja, and Destiny, she loved them unconditionally.
She was employed as an accountant/bookkeeper at Sherwood Davis-Geck from 1970 - 2000, after 30 years she retired. Later she decided to reenter the workforce, but in a different field. She worked at Creve Coeur Camera. Victoria loved and enjoyed her job working with others and assisting customers.
Preceding her in death: (Father) Preston Ledbetter, (Grandmother) Vera Cox, (Aunts) Mary Shell and Josephine Moore.
