Robert Lee Crawford who was known as “Gobble” was born on September 3, 1955 to James and Alta L. Crawford.
Robert attended school in Walker County and was a graduate of the Huntsville High School, class of 1975.
Robert was known as the neighborhood handyman. He was well known for his occupation as a HVAC specialist. In addition to working on air conditioners, he was a carpenter, plumber and a shade tree mechanic.
Family and friends were very dear to Robert. He married the love of his life and childhood sweetheart, Shanta Faye Butler.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Shanta Faye Crawford; grandson: Aiyden B. Lewis; his parents: James and Alta L. Crawford, and siblings: James Crawford and Ira Jean Allen.
Robert leaves to cherish memories four children: Nuecell V. Butler (Dee); of Dallas, Texas, Tiffany Crawford; of Conroe, Texas; Brittany Crawford; of Dallas, Texas and Alta Kelly; of Louisiana; father-in-law: Mark Butler; siblings: Claree Hayward (Newton); of Houston, Texas, Johnnie Harris; of Dallas, Texas, Sterling Crawford, JoAnn Johnson, Floyd Allen, Pauline Wilson (Wendell), Donnell Mills and Linda Dickey; all of Huntsville, Texas, a host of nieces, nephews and additional relatives and friends.
