RJ Granville known as “Pancake” to family and friends was born December 30, 1955 in Huntsville, Texas to the late Jim William and Jessie Mae Granville. He was the eldest brother of six children. He attended Dallas Independent School District (DISD) public schools in which he moved to Dallas, Texas as a small child with his parents. He later returned to Huntsville in the 1970’s where he resided for the remaining of his years. RJ worked in Security and Construction; house leveling for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; his cheerfulness and entertaining spirit touched the hearts of many.
RJ departed earth on September 28, 2020 in Conroe, Tx. Preceding him in death are his parents; son: Jason Lamond Ross; sister: Veola Granville and brother: Stoney Granville
RJ leaves to cherish his memories with his daughter: Angela Ross-Harris (Eric); of Mesquite, Tx; sisters: Selester Cunningham (Billy), Shirley Faye Granville, and Norris Ann Chisolm; all of Huntsville, Tx; four grandchildren: Erica Harris and Erryn Jade Harris; of Mesquite, Tx, Jayda Ross and Jason Lamond Ross Jr.; both of McKinney, Tx; a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins who loved him dearly.
