Patrick Boyce Mayers

Patrick Boyce Mayers was born on April 1, 1964, to Jessie and Daisy Mae Mayers. He was raised in Willis, Texas, until he moved to Huntsville, Texas, to live with his uncle and aunt, Valree and Odessa Patrick. Following his move to Huntsville, he started his 9th grade year at Huntsville High School, where participated and excelled in a variety of sports. He graduated in 1982.

Patrick accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He served under the leadership of the late Pastor Michael C. Davis, Sr. at Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He along with his brother Dwight Patrick and close classmates, started an amazing gospel and singing group. With his anointed voice “he sang consistently” and it will always carry on.

Patrick worked for several years for TDCJ. He retired in 2010.

Patrick will always be remembered as a great husband, father, son, and brother. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jessie and Daisy Mae Mayers, uncle and aunt: Valree and Odessa Patrick, brothers: Dwight Patrick, Willie Brown, Jr., and Bobby Lagaway; step-father: Willie Brown, grandmother: Hattie Patrick, and grandfather, aunt: Willie Mae Saxton, whom to all is not alone.

Patrick will be remembered in love for his singing and smile, and it will continue. He leaves to cherish his amazing loving memories to live on, with his devoted wife: Stephanie Mayers, his beautiful children: Patrick (PJ) Brown, Patrick KeShon Mayers, and Alanna Patrice Mayers; beautiful grandchildren: Porter and Asher Brown; god-daughter: Lundynn Harrison; sisters: Pearle Demery (John), Linda Lagaway, Deborah Smith (Levester), Patricia Eckwood (Mike); brother: Fredrick Brown (Charlotte); step-sisters: Willie Mae (Roddy), Juanita Brown (Albert), and Erma  (John); sisters-in-law: Diane Patrick, Melissa and Pam; extended family: Cynthia Mosley (Mike), Sydney (Sandra); special cousins: Lynette, Jason, and Sheila; special aunt: Marie Lynn Calhoun; special uncle and aunt: James and Betty Patrick; beautiful host of nephews, nieces, great nephews,  great nieces, other relatives and friends to continue to carry on his loving legacies with love.
