Nina Margaret Simmons Obituary

On January 18, 1948, in Corsicana TX. a beautiful baby girl was born to Olivia Wallace and Clifton Wright.


 Giving her life to GOD at an early age she attended Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. She lived life to the fullest, never taking anything for granted and always giving so much of herself. She had a love for animals and music; but music always out trumped everything.  She loved to sing and play the piano.


 She attended Trinity Public School system where she graduated and later became a homemaker.


 Preceding her in death include her loving daughter: Kris Morning; her parents: Olivia Wallace and Clifton Wright; great-grandmother: Ginnie Robinson; grandmother: Estelle Taylor; aunts: Juanita Taylor and Velma Moten; nieces: Ebony and Carla Mayfield.


 Nina leaves to cherish her memories her three children: Sharon Simmons and Vicki Simmons; both of Huntsville Texas; son: Tony Morning; of Houston Texas; 15 grandchildren: Corey Simmons; of Trinity, Texas, Kaneisha Weathersby; of Humble, Texas, Edward McGowan and Brianna McGowan; of Riverside, Texas, Tony Morning Jr., Teandrea Morning, Amanda Mack and Gatlin Morning; of Houston, Texas, Darin Higgs Jr., Brandi Cook, Courtney Simmons, Marcus Mack, Britthany Simmons, Mashayla Simmons and London Johnson; all  of Huntsville, Texas, 20 great-grandchildren, stepmother: Jimmie Carter,  step-sister: Doris Carter; both  of Trinity, Texas,  step-sister: Betty Mayfield; of Houston, Texas,  step-brother: James Carter, step-sister Eva Flowers; both of Huntsville, Texas; two very special people:  Frederick McCullough and Taletha Morning (Lisa) and  a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and many loving and caring friends.
