Naomi Love Lewis passed away peacefully in her home on July 9th, 2024. Known for always smiling and being ever generous, many have greatly benefited from knowing her.
Naomi spent the majority of her adult life in Huntsville, TX with her husband Calvin Lewis Sr. The two contributed greatly to the history of the community. They had a few businesses on the drag, including a dry cleaner and washateria.
Naomi was a founding member of Unity of Faith Missionary Baptist Church and volunteered her time along with her husband serving the growing congregation for many years. Many of you who know her knew she was always dressed beautifully, not only in dress but also with her joyful demeanor.
Naomi had a heart for serving others. From nursing to childcare to in-home healthcare, she has touched many lives as she continually gave of herself to bring comfort and encouragement to others.
Naomi joins her husband, Calvin Lewis, Sr., and is survived by her children: Morris Lewis, Deedric Lewis, and Calvin Lewis Jr., eleven grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, sisters: Bessie Vaughn, Ruby Walker, and Verda Pipkin; sister-in-law: Jeannie Love, a host of nieces, nephews, god-children, and additional relatives and friends.
