Mae B. Ross-Rogers was born on March 23, 1939 to Lorine Smither Young and Albertus Ross, in Shiro, Texas.
Mae attended school in the Huntsville community. Her church membership was in Huntsville as well. She was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ. Her faithfulness continued until her health began to fail.
In later years she met and married Byron (Bon) Rogers, Sr. They remained married until God called him in 2010.
Mae was a very nurturing individual. She ran a full time home daycare for over 30 years and retired in 2004. She was a loving sister, mother to all and a great friend.
Those that were called home before her in addition to her parents: Lorine Smither Young and Albertus Ross and her beloved husband Byron (Bon) Rogers, Sr.; her siblings: Carrie Carrington, Joyce Washington, Herman Ross, Roy Ross and James Johnson.
Mae leaves to mourn and cherish her memories; her children: Ken Ross (Debra), Oliver Speaker, Michael Speaker (Angela), Henry Chuck Speaker (Tonya), Steve Speaker, Donna Rogers, Byron Rogers (Laura) and Elbert (Shawn) Rogers; siblings: Nelson Johnson, Jr., Mary Douglas (Clevester), Joann Ross-Mills (Otis), Linda Ross Hayes (Larry) and Jackie Ross-Eason, and a host of additional relatives and friends.
