The sun rose on the life of Kevin Dewayne Jones on December 1, 1970. He enjoyed a beautiful childhood in the Huntsville community and later in the Houston, Texas community. His formal education began in the Huntsville Independent School District and was completed in the Houston Independent School District.
Kevin confessed Christ at an early age. He was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. He was known for studying the Bible and a passion for sharing his faith.
His cherished role was that of being a father to Chase, Jacob, Andrea, and Lexxus.
Kevin was not a stranger to anyone. He loved western movies and affectionately called himself a “Raggady Cowboy.” He was known for wearing a big “Black Stetson” cowboy hat, encircled with a concho band and large rodeo buckled belt which he tooled himself. Kevin always wore a big Bowie knife with a tooled sheath on the right side of his belt. He loved riding horses, but later in life exchanged his love of riding horses to driving a “Big bad dualed out truck.”
On August 27, 2024, Kevin peacefully transitioned from time to eternity. To cherish the legacy of a bright and beautiful life he leaves his mother, Patricia Ann Phlegm and her husband: Michael; of Huntsville, Texas; his father: Rickey D. Jones; of Bryan, Texas, sons: Chase (Katrista), Jacob (Maci); both of Indiana, daughters: Andrea; of Huntsville, Texas and Lexxus; of Wisconsin, grandchildren: De’Vari, Braylon, Haizlynn, Kylen, Kayson, Sophia and Khalani, sister: Candis Phlegm; of California, a beloved Auntie Mama: Rev. Anne Kelly-Warren (Samie); of The Woodlands, Texas; devoted cousin: Clayton “Clay Boy” Fisher (Jodie); of Spring, Texas, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.
