Keaonna Major was born on May 8, 2007, in Mesquite, Texas, to Shameka Pace and Elbert Major. She came into the world a happy, healthy baby and grew into a joyful child who loved to dance and make everyone around her laugh.
After spending her early years in Mesquite, Keaonna and her mother relocated to Huntsville, Texas. There, she attended school and, alongside her family, became a member of Ministry of Light Church.
As she grew, Keaonna embraced life with determination and courage. She later became the proud mother of her beautiful daughter, Kehlani Brielle, who was the center of her world. Keaonna loved her family deeply, and nothing was more important to her than raising Kehlani and preparing to give her daughter the very best in life.
On August 13, 2025, at the age of 18, Keaonna gained her Heavenly wings and entered into eternal life.
She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Shirley Pace, and great-grandfather, Charles Pace.
Keaonna’s memory will be cherished by her beloved daughter, Kehlani Brielle of Huntsville; her mother, Shameka Pace Major of Huntsville; her father, Elbert Major of Dallas; her siblings, Kam Major of Huntsville, KeShaun Reece of Huntsville, Kalaya Reece of Huntsville, KaShonta Major of Huntsville, Keiron Johnson of Livingston, and Kaden and Keaton Major of Dallas; and her niece and nephew, Alaiya and Aaron Hines of Huntsville.
She is also survived by her grandparents, Peggy Craft of Huntsville, Betty Major of Huntsville, and Tommy Murray; her aunts and uncles, Leticia Haywood (Eugene), Tony Pace, Melba Wanza (Earl), Karla Applewhite (Lorenzo), Cassandra Major and Pat Major ; her special cousins, Jaliyah and De’Mari Haywood of Huntsville; along with a host of cousins, great-aunts, and great-uncles, family and friends.
Keaonna will always be remembered as a strong, fearless, and loving young woman whose greatest joy was being a mother. Her laughter, her light, and her love will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
