Pastor Johnny Charles Parks was born on June 15, 1951 to Charles and Clara Mae Parks in Huntsville, Texas.
Pastor Johnny Charles received his formal education in Coldspring, Texas at Jones High School. It was there that he was known as a football player and for his track skills. In later years he became the owner and operator of his own logging business and for many years worked for San Jacinto County.
In Pastor Parks spare time he enjoyed his hobby; fast cars and trucks that he truly loved. His favorite was his 1967 Camaro “Mr. Boss.”
Pastor Johnny Charles found Christ in 1987 and became a Deacon at Raven-Hill C.O.G.I.C. In 2013, he was one of the founders and pastors of Living Water Holiness Church.
Loved ones that preceded him in death include his parents and brother: Ray Parks Sr.
Pastor Johnny Charles is survived by his wife: Norma J. Parks; children: Teria Wilridge (Pastor Ron), Pastor Charles Parks (Mechelle), Tre’Shunn Parks (Britney) and Sean Parks (Tamika); a host of grandchildren; siblings: Barbara Haywood and Sherry Ann Standley; uncle: Eugene Harrison; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Durlene Shelly-Davis, Apostle James Shelly Jr. (Prophetess Carolyn Shelly), Evangelist Dedria Hightower, Andrew Reese “Peter” and Kelly Shelly; special friends: brother W.O. Lewis, Edward Stone Sr., Archie Harris and Clenard Hightower.
