Jessie Johnson Obituary

Jessie Mae (Walker) Johnson made her grand entrance into the world on July 19, 1954. She was born in Coldspring, Texas to proud and loving parents: Ceasar and Katherine Walker. Both preceded her in death. She received her formal education from Coldspring ISD.

Jessie’s knowledge of God came at an early stage of her life. She dedicated her life to  Christ at an early age. She was a proud member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. She later named a new church home at grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville, Texas.

Jessie had several jobs in her stay here on earth from catering to private home duty. She gave up private home duty in September of 2019. Everyone loved her cooking and any event she had at her home. She always cooked enough to share with the neighborhood. If you were hungry just stop by Ms. Jessie; you could get something to eat. She always had a sweet spirit, good heart and a loving personality.

Jessie Mae later married Melvin Johnson. He preceded her in death. To this union two children were born.

Jessie leaves precious memories with her children: Elondrea Walker (Kelvin); of Arlington, TX. and Kenneth Johnson (Danyelle); of Houston, TX.; sisters: Celia Brown (Arthur); of Moscow, TX., Laura Walker; of Coldspring, TX.; brothers: Larry Walker; of Livingston, TX. and Johnny Walker (Ginger); of Maryland; grandchildren: Alesha Massey (Sharonica); of Dallas, TX., Lashoniqua White (Qwaylen); of Virginia and Kevaughnte McGowan; of Arlington, TX.; great-grandchildren: Qwaylen Jr. and Zamaurion; special friend, her Uber Driver and her Bae: Tony Harrison AKA Mr. Tony Tiger and Mr. T.; two play daughters: Demetric Harrison and LaMedra Hightower; very special play son: Sean Douglas; last but not least her Ride or Die: Ronnie Justice and Sharri Goffney.
