Gloria (Winfrey) McAdams

Gloria McAdams was born on August 16, 1928 to Robert Winfrey and Beulah Taylor Merchant. She peacefully passed away on January 13, 2021 in Huntsville, Texas.

Gloria lived for many years in LaMarque, Texas. While living there she worked for 30 years as a custodian at LaMarque ISD.

Those that preceded her in death were her husband: Raymond McAdams; her parents and son: Willie James McAdams. She is survived by her children: Dorothy Hightower, Mable Williams and Shirley Haywood; special granddaughter that served as her caregiver: Willie Fay (Cookie) Roberts (John); eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; brother: A.J. Merchant; sister: Martha Washington, along with a host of nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
