On May 23, 1960, Gloria Ann Johnson was born to her parents, Jake Van Louis Johnson and Charlene Square in Huntsville, Texas.
Gloria’s love for God was acquired at an early age and she was a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ until her health failed. Gloria attended school in the Huntsville Independent School District and graduated from Huntsville High School. Gloria spent her time as a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother.
Gloria was preceded in death by her 2 sons: Broderick and Keithon Johnson, sisters: Patricia Ann Davis and Mirriasie “Marthea” Johnson Gibbs, and parents: Jake and Charlene Johnson. Her transition to eternal rest came on February 1, 2021.
Gloria leaves cherished memories with her loving family which includes, daughter: Shanita Smith (George) of Huntsville, TX.; her loving, devoted companion and soulmate: Marvin McBride; of New Waverly, TX; brothers: James Johnson; of Tamina, TX., Donnie and Jerry Johnson (Polly) of Huntsville, Tx; sisters: Mary Kizzie (John), Cynthia Johnson, and Jacquelyn Gilbert (Sammy); all of Huntsville, TX.; grandchildren: Sydney Griffin, Kristopher Smith, Madisyn Smith, and Ethan Smith; all of Huntsville; aunt: Alberta Square of Waxahachie, TX. and Deborah Johnson, Huntsville, TX.; devoted friends: Chataqua Franklin, Debbie Donahue, and Sophia Stubblefield; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
