Geneva Shaw Johnson, enhanced the world with her beautiful presence on August 12, 1949. She was born and raised in Huntsville, Texas to the proud and loving parents, Leonard (Toby) Shaw and Doris Walker, who have both preceded her in death.
Geneva accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in Houston, Texas.
Geneva was employed at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston, Texas and retired after working over 40 years. She later worked at TDCJ in Huntsville, Texas.
Geneva was a faithful and devoted member of First New Friendship Baptist Church, serving for 30 years. She was a member of the Outreach Ministry and Mission 1. She united there under the leadership of Rev. L.J. Bailey and currently under the leadership of Pastor Ronald Eagleton.
Geneva was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, cousin and a loyal friend. She loved everyone and was a blessing to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her; aunts: May Hazel Archie and Betty Walker; uncles: Leon Walker, O.T. Walker, D.H. Walker and Jimmie Lee Walker. She leaves to cherish many precious memories her siblings: devoted brother and caretaker: Leonard Shaw Jr., brothers: Douglas Shaw and Napoleon Shaw; sisters: Delores Shaw and Brenda Shaw; uncles: Willie Martin (Jean) and J.W. Martin and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
