Ernestine Gooden Ware (Mudear) was born to Scott Gooden and Georgia Spears Gooden in Grimes County in East Texas. She grew up in both Grimes and Walker Counties. She join church during her early age at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and exercised her faith throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her husband W.C. Ware, Sr. and daughter: Daisy Mae Archie Ross; two sisters: Clestine Gooden Loud and Clender Gooden; four brothers: Elkin Gooden, A.G. Gooden, Lloyd Lucky Gooden and Lonnie Gooden, Sr.
Ernestine and W.C. Ware, Sr. united in marriage and she was faithful until his death. She is survived by hersons: Rev. Arthur R. Ware, Sr. of Albany N.Y. and Deacon W.C. Ware, Jr. of Houston, TX.; daughters: Bobbie Ware Scott (Kenneth); of Desoto, TX, Georgia M. Ware; of Sugarland TX.
Mudear was a loving homemaker who cared for her husband and children with exceptional love and affection. Often, she could be found quilting, working on embroidery and other varieties of needle point. She had the most infectious smile and kind personality along with a kind word for everyone. Daily she prepared delicious meals and always encouraged her family to do what was right and to reflect well on her family values and the community.
In addition to her immediate family of five children, Mudear leaves to cherish her memory, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
