Demis Ray Wyatt, known to most as “Butch”, was born on August 12, 1956 to Author Williams and Aldine Montgomery Wyatt, in Waller, Texas. It was there that he received his formal education, where he attended Sam Schawratz and received his high school diploma from Waller High School.
Butch work history was as a truck driver for 43 years. All of his family and friends knew that he was an awesome mechanic and handy man. He was always ready to assist someone with their needs. Those close to him will remember him as a very giving person.
Butch truly did love the Lord. He was baptized on April 24, 2016, at Living Waters Holiness Church, in Point Blank, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Charles Parks. He continued his Christian walk serving the Lord for many years in various ways and churches. His final church serving destination was at Bowen Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as an Usher, under the leadership of Pastor Jimmy Butler, in Trinity, Texas.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents: Author Williams and Aldine Wyatt; son: Dennis Ray Wyatt, and a number of sisters and brothers.
Those left to cherish his fond memories include his daughter: Cloresa Wyatt Porter (Melvin); grandchildren: O’She’Aanna Porter, Aquare’Anna Porter, Darius Bradford, De’Andra Wyatt, Dennis Wyatt III, Alissia Harris, Dai’Chelle Wyatt; great-grandchildren: Aubrey King Wyatt and Tessa Rose Lillie Wyatt, his bonus mother: Dorothy J. Harrison, and a host of family and friends.
Butch’s honorable mentions include: Shirley Foster –1974, Doris Wyatt Teal-1978 and his life long love: Pauline Massey Shepard, and special friend Shirley Tyson.
