Demeterica or Dee as she was known to many, was born on July 22, 1978 to O.B. Smith and Mozell Craft, in Galveston, Texas. She grew up in Madisonville, Texas, where she attended and graduated from Madisonville High School.
Demeterica worked for over 20 years at Madisonville Care Center. She was also a member of Sweet Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Demeterica will be remembered as someone who enjoyed sitting outside on her porch with neighbors, family and friends. Everyone could always talk to “Dee” when they couldn’t talk to anyone else. She uplifted many family and friends.
Demeterica is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters: Mikeyla Craft (Marquis Nauls) and VaKerria Johnson; son: Kyle Craft; granddaughter: Mariah Nauls (Gigi); uncle: Horace Craft; god-daughter: Tootie Hogan; special cousin: Angela Clifton; a host of nieces and nephews that she adored dearly.
