David Martin Simmons

David Simmons was born on November 9, 1966, to Vertise and Lmarie Simmons in Huntsville, TX where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1984.

David brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. He was known for his infectious personality and his deep love for his family and friends. He never met a stranger, always ready to be the life of the party and to spend time with his loved ones.

 He loved dancing and never missed a beat showing off his dancing skills, especially to Atomic Dog. His zest for life was matched only by his willingness to lend a helping hand, even if it was on his own time schedule. David also loved watching sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Shezandra Simmons; parents, Vertise and Lmarie Simmons; his sisters and brothers, Denise (Jeffrey) Davis and Tiffany (Josh) King; and his nieces: Ashley, Cymre, Miranda, Serenity and nephews: Rory and Skylar. David also leaves behind many family and friends who will miss him dearly. David’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his spirit will continue to inspire us to live with the same joy and generosity he did.
