Darwin Vashun Miller

Darwin Miller was born on April 22, 1978, in Huntsville, Texas to Bobby Miller and Jenell Miller. He graduated, in 1997, from Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Texas.

D-Ray, Shiny Shane, The Man, The Myth, The Legend..Darwin Vashun (Archie) Miller graduated, in 1997, from Huntsville High School in Huntsville (Walker County), Texas. After graduating from high school Darwin moved to Houston to attend Universal Technical Institute where he received an Associate Degree in Automotive and Diesel Mechanics. Darwin’s employment expanded to auto mechanics, oil fields, United Parcel, and TDCJ. At the time of his death, he was employed by Loram Maintenance of Way, where he received the Longevity Award.

In addition to his pursuit of education, Darwin was also mindful of being an entrepreneur and inventor. As a child, Darwin was always intuitive and inquisitive. He was known for his sparkling eyes, dimpled smile, and open heart. Throughout his life, he always made himself available to anyone in need. Those around him often misunderstood Darwin because of his insightful, forward-thinking, and visionary conversations.

Darwin loved cooking for his family, especially smoked turkey, fajitas, and steak. He enjoyed playing dominos, celebrating life, and going on adventures. God saw Darwin’s need for an open minded, kind, spiritually connected, loving, and faithful helpmate who would shower him with love, understand him, and support him. On September 5, 2020, God blessed the union of Darwin Vashun and RoShanda. RoShanda was his ride-or-die and was a much-needed positive addition to his life.

Darwin accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior early and demonstrated such through being baptized at New Life Church in Huntsville, Texas. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Darwin was preceded in death by uncles Charles Miller and Barry Lane Archie. Brenda Miller(aunt), and grandparents: Donal Lue (James) Archie, John Spivey, Zephyr Miller, Adell Miller, Sr.

Darwin is survived by his beloved wife, RoShanda Miller, his three sons, Zacharee Douglas, Marshall Davis, and De’Andre Butcher (Shelby Butcher); two beautiful grandchildren: Kie’Syn and Ayva Butcher; brothers, Kelton Miller, sisters Unique Archie and Rayshauna Lewis (Kenny); sister-in-law Misty Henderson; brother-in- law: Timothy Teamer (Reva); aunts: Faye Hudson, Linda Dunson, and Vallie Faye Archie. Darwin also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
