Brent Rashaud Purvis was born on September 13, 1994, and entered the realm of eternity on July 28, 2022, at 27 years old. Brent is preceded in eternal rest by his Grandfather Q.D. Purvis. Left to honor his life and cherish his memories are his parents, Bobby and JoAnn Purvis, sister Katrina (Everett) Porter, and brother Broderick Purvis, and his four nephews: Jorden Davis, Brendan Davis Purvis, Brixton Purvis, and Ethan Porter, his grandmothers: Virgie Wanza Burnett and Queen Victoria Purvis, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and fur babies (French Bulldogs).
Brent attended Howard Payne University and Prairie View A&M University. His love for basketball was immeasurable and sitting courtside at a Houston Rockets game was one of his favorite pastimes. Brent was known in the community as a mentor and a philanthropist who hosted toy drives, turkey drives, and back-to-school events and was a volunteer coach for little league sports. Additionally, he was a talented Rap Artist known as “Neva Nervous BP” he sold out shows and adored his fans. He produced Certified Pedigree French Bulldogs and was the Owner/CEO of Above Average Authentics.
Brent was larger than life, and his impact was profound. His relationship with God was sacred to him and defined how he treated those God brought into his life. Everyone Brent encountered felt special and important; he never met a stranger. He was one of the kindest, most genuine people you could ever meet. His warm and joyful demeanor was infectious, and his laugh was comforting. He was loved by many and cherished by all who knew him. While his presence will be missed, his spirit and legacy will live on through the lives of those he touched.
