Bobby Glaze Obituary

Bobby Lynn Glaze was born on September 8, 1953 to Jimmy Walker and Odell Glaze-Lewis, in Huntsville, Texas. He grew up in Huntsville and attended school in Huntsville Independent School District. Bobby graduated from Huntsville High School in 1971. He furthered his education at Sam Houston State University. It was there that he became a proud member of the Jam Phi Jam Social Organization.

In 1977 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the service he married and to this union one child was born. In later years he met and married Merthia  Oliver on February 3, 1981. This union was blessed with six children (4 daughters and 2 sons).

Bobby accepted Christ and was baptized in 1990 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Andrew Issac. In later years he attended Hills Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Bobby was a one of kind and complex man who had passion  for “Possum Walk Friday Nite Domino Game” at Cousin Little Boy Hightower. Let the record show Possum Walk….He was the “Champ”

Bobby was preceded in death by his uncle: Walter Glaze, who helped to shape and mold his life; his father: Jimmy Walker; brothers: Jimmy Earl Glaze, Anthony Walker and Wendell Walker.

Bobby is survived by his mother: Odell Lewis; children: Anitra Glaze, Angella Glaze, Angelique Glaze, Bobby Glaze Jr., Brandon Glaze, Brittany Glaze and Korona Dock (Dedrick); grandchildren: Chris, Shamarion, Johnta, Gardarian, Josh, Ciara, Clayton, Bobby III, Draya, Ca’Myah, Kei’Maree, Kali, Kalyne, Kamri, Breyson and Bry’Kasn; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings: Brenda Bowden, Donald Lewis (Att), Janis Scott (Raymond), Larry Glaze, Carolyn Glaze, Jimmy Walker Jr. and Jimmie Sue Lillie, and a host of additional relatives and friends.
