Mr. Billy Joe Cunningham passed away on November 05, 2025, at home in Huntsville, Texas. He was born February 07, 1955, to Mae Etta Cunningham and Buck Willis. At a very young age he became a member of Mary’s Chapel M.B.C., and he attended school in Trinity, Texas. He joined the United States Army where he served 4 years, before being Honorably Discharged. After serving in the military, he became a Truck Driver, and he drove trucks until his health began to fail.
Billy was someone that the community’s youth looked up to. He loved spending time with family and friends, and he loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents Mae Etta Cunninham and Buck Willis, sister: Rose E. Hobbs, grandparents: Andrew and Etta Cunningham. He is survived by his wife: Selester Cunningham, sons: Brodrick Grooms Sr. of Huntsville, TX and Kelsey Kizzee of Willis, TX, daughter: Felicia Moss (Dwight) of Trinity, TX, stepsons: Tommy Granville (Cathy), LaMonde Granville (Jodi), Aerrick Granville Sr. (Keisha) all of Houston, TX, and Freddie Granville, of Huntsville, TX, nephews: Arron Kirkwood Sr. of Houston, TX, and Donald Hobbs of Trinity, TX, grandchildren: Brodrick Jr., Teyana, Aeryana, DeShaylyn, Dejah, Tierra, Tamara, Hope, Aerremee, Daliyah, Derrick, Freddie Jr., Datravious, Milan, Lamonica, and Jordan, great-grandchildren: Javorian, Aerrick, Jr., and Cherish, and a host of other relatives and friends.
