June 15, 1960, a blessing came to the Leigh family and that was the birth of Betty Jean. She was born on that day to her parents Johnny and Sue Ethel Leigh
Betty received her formal education in the Huntsville I.S. District.
Betty was a woman of God, who’s light shined everywhere she went.
She was a member of New Start Fellowship Church, under the leadership of Bishop Marion Bridges, Jr., serving as a faithful member.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Katherine Leigh, Barbara Leigh, Jonnie Leigh, Otis Leigh and Author Leigh.
Loved ones that will always treasure memories of Betty include her devoted husband: Jerry Riles; children: Larry Wyatt, Sueanna Franklin (Kedrick), Billy Wyatt and Penelope Muldrow (Leandrew); step-children: Ashley Riles, Dwayne Riles and Anthony Riles; grandchildren: Edward York, Jr., Fredrick McKnight, LaVence McNight, Jason Gordon, Jr., Emanuel Milton, Jr., Julius Johnson, Juliana Johnson, LaVarian Wyatt and LaKyrea Wyatt; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Lena Wyatt, Mary White (John), Anderson Leigh (Alice), Charles Leigh (Rena), Andrew Leigh and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
