Asheley Leg'a Merchant

Asheley Leg’a Merchant was born on September 25, 1987, to Darryl Archie and Paula Merchant.

Asheley grew up in Huntsville, Texas where she attended Huntsville Hight School and eventually moved to Houston, Texas where she worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant, assisting those who needed her loving care touch.

 Asheley was a loving and nurturing mother and a devoted daughter. She had a beautiful spirit, she wanted everyone to get along and love each other. She wanted everyone to put God first. She’ll also be remembered as a good listener and always willing to give a helping hand.

Asheley , who was known to many as Cookie, was preceded in death by her son: Markice  (Chunky) Griffith Jr.; grandparents: A.C. Merchant and Ethel Reed (aka Sis. Reed). Those that have been left to mourn her passing, her children: Aaliyah Griffith and Kayla Upshaw; parents: Darryl Archie and Paula Merchant; siblings: Richard, Roshawn, Derrick, Melvin, Kandace, Jordana, and Nina; grandparents: Stanford Archie and Delois Archie and a host of additional family and friends.
