Anthony Eyeyo Ekong (aka Eyo) was born to the late Professor Anthony E. Ekong and Regina U. Ekong on December 23rd, 1971 in Concord, NC. USA. He passed away on the 23rd of March 2021.
Anthony was raised in a Christian family and received Christ at an early age. As a faithful follower of Christ, Anthony aspired to become a Priest. Remembering Eyo, He attended Cardinal Ekandem's Seminary Uyo, AKS, Nigeria. Though, he never made it pass an altar boy before returning to USA, Anthony remained a devoted Christian, and he later became a member of Family Faith Church, Huntsville, TX, USA.
Anthony received his elementary and secondary education from Teachers Training College Practicing Primary School, Ediene Abak, AKS, then attended School of Arts and Science, Uyo, AKS, Nigeria. Upon returning to USA, he studied further at Columbia Southern University, Orange Beach, Alabama, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Considering that business was his passion, he engaged in entrepreneurship.
Throughout his earthly life, he cared for and touched the lives of many in a meaningful manner. Anthony leaves to cherish his loving memory: his children; Eyo Ekong, Jeremiah Mfonabasi Ekong, Mariah Regina Ekong, his siblings; Mr. Eno Ekong, Mr. Oliver Ekong, Ms. Rita Doris Ekong, Mrs. Josephine Umosen, Prof. Carol Aboh, Mrs. Regina Etteh, in-laws, extended family members, and friends.
