Albert G. Smallwood was born on October 27, 1937, to Albert L. and Sephronia Brush Smallwood, in Houston, Texas.
Albert received his formal education in Houston, where he graduated from Wheatley High School. Following graduation he joined the United States Army. He was a part of the many soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War. During his time in the army, he enjoyed boxing as a pastime sport.
Albert served as a chef for various restaurants, as a pat of his main occupation. He shared many mouth watering recipes with his family, friends, and community members throughout the years. In addition to being an excellent cook, he enjoyed making people laugh with his hilarious jokes.
Albert’s Christian experience began at a young age. It started with him joining Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. In later years he moved his membership to First New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, along with his lovely wife: Gloria.
Family members that have preceded Albert in death include his parents, siblings: Gloria Mills, Sonny Smallwood, and Laquitha Wharton.
Loved ones that will cherish many memories include his wife: Gloria Smallwood, children: Aldon Smallwood (Constance), Lorenza Hinson (Kelvin), and Alicia Smallwood; siblings: Delia Smallwood, Brenda Smallwood, and Hermann Smallwood, and a host of grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
