Vera Bonner was born on May 31, 1934, in Jacksonville, Texas to Lula Mae Lewis Robertson and Clarence Dixon.

Vera went to W. Banks school in Grapeland, Texas. In her adult years she met and eventually married Odell Bonner. Through their union became a host of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She cared for her family as a  housewife and she also worked in a bakery.

Vera was a member of Northside Church of Christ until her health began to fail.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband: Odell Bonner, parents: Lula Robertson and Clarence Dixon, sisters: Lillie Kennard, Sadie Pellum and Veita Mae Johnson. She is survived by her children: Callie Bonner, Loreta Felder (Randy) and Deborah Johnson; grandchildren: Nity, C.K., Lawrence, LaMorris, Evette, Josh and Rodney; great-grandchildren: Shawn, Shekina, Kenneth, Robert, Markel and Jeremiah; sister: Patricia Spate and a host of additional relatives and friends.
