Obituary

Thomasine was born March 7, 1966, in Houston, TX, to Freddie and Ora E. Milton.

Thomasine graduated from Barbara Jordan High School in 1984. She worked for the Texas Dept of Criminal Justice and eventually finished her career as a School Secretary for HISD.

Shortly after her career began, she was blessed with a son, Carl Collins, Sr, whom she and her mother raised until his career took him to the NAVY. Thomasine was a quiet and fun person who cherished family and friendships. She had the BIGGEST heart and would give anyone her last. She loved spending time with family, listening to Blues, and
watching Madea.

She recently obtained her Associate of Arts for teaching from SNHU College, with the hopes of going back to the career she loved.

Thomasine passed away under hospice care at Harbor Hospice after her lengthy battle with cancer. We will carry her love and devotion in our hearts forever.

Thomasine was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie and Ora Milton, brother, Frederick Hightower, sister, Thelma Watson, and niece, Zomia Watson (Jazmine).

Thomasine leaves to cherish her loving son, Carl Collins, Sr., daughter-in-law, Christine; grandchildren: CJ (20), Christian Marie (12), and Camryn Elise (4), sister, Debra Williams, brother, Ronald Gardner; nephews: Marcus Watson (Thelma), Kerdrick Hightower (Fred); nieces: Jazmine Watson (Thelma), and Laila Hightower (Fred), and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.
