Paula Rena Carter was born on September 5, 1961 to Steve Collins and Wilma Carter, in Huntsville, Texas.

Paula grew up in the Walker County community and attended school in Huntsville, Texas. She graduated from Huntsville High School and was a member of the class of 1980.

Paula showed great work ethics. She worked for 18 years at Aramark through Sam Houston State University until her health began to fail.

Paula had a strong faith and loved the Lord deeply. She accepted Christ at an early age at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. In later years she moved her membership and united with Warren Chapel United Methodist Church.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Benjamin Boone and Robert Carter, and sister: Doris Boone.

Paula leaves to cherish memories, her children: Stoney Granville; of Huntsville, Texas, Marquis Carter and T'Vondre Carter; both of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: LaTiara, Stoney III, Nevaeh, Janae, Tatiana and Lacrae; brothers: Billy Boone (Faren), Edward Boone (Stacey), Steve Collins (Bridgett) and Anthony Collins; sisters: Crystal Hagans and Sandra Collins; aunts: Iris Antwine, Helen Garrett, and Gloria Boone; uncle: Fountain Boone (Betty); special friend: Patrick Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, additional relatives and friends.
