Patricia Henrietta Garner was born on April 16, 1945, in Chico Hot Springs, Montana, to her loving parents, Mary White and Henry De’wart. She was raised in Livingston, Montana, surrounded by family and siblings, including Mary Holtz, Junie De’wart, Jack De’wart, and Sylvia Barnhart.

Patricia later met Robert “Ralph” Hanks, and together they shared a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories. From their union came two daughters, Tammy Marie Hanks and Pollyanna Johnson , who were blessed to call Patricia their mother.

In 1985, Patricia moved to Huntsville, Texas, with her two daughters. There, she began a new chapter of her life and built a beautiful home surrounded by family, friends, and a community she came to call home. Patricia was a hardworking woman who took pride in providing for her family. During her years in Huntsville, she worked at The Hitching Post and Café Texan, where she met many people and created lasting memories.

Patricia was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her family. She was a woman whose presence brought love, strength, warmth, and countless memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Patricia departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the memories she created will live on through her family and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mary White and Henry De’wart; her oldest sister, Mary Holtz; her brother, Junie De’wart; and Robert “Ralph” Hanks.

Patricia leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her daughters, Tammy Marie Hanks and Pollyanna Johnson (Jerry); her siblings, Jack De’wart and Sylvia Barnhart; her grandchildren, Monica Burse, Jasmine Thomas, Markey Thomas (Palasha), Kristine Hanks, LaTresha Johnson (Bennie), Kristianna Hanks, and Alexis Hanks; her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jordan, Jakobi, Angel, Faith, MaryJane, Harmoni, Preslee, Monai, and Liliana; along with extended family and dear friends who will forever carry her love and memory in their hearts.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, her love will continue to guide us, her memories will continue to comfort us, and her legacy will live on through the family she loved so dearly.
