We celebrate the homegoing of Marc Alvin Thomas. He was the second son of Johnnie Alvin and Ocia Thomas; born on October 8, 1976, in Houston, Texas. Friends and family affectionately called him Marc T and Pooh.

Marc moved to Seattle Washington at the age of 3 years old. He attended Seattle Christian, Zion Prepatory School, Franklin High School and Rainer Beach School where they won state championship for basketball. Marc graduated high school in 1996.

In 2009, he moved back to Texas to be close to family. He worked at Best Buy, Rack Room Shoes at Katy Mills Mall. For the last four years he worked with his father's company; Cottrell Pest Control Company.

Marc attended Progressive Bible Fellowship under Pastor Jesse Chester.

Marc departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 19, 2019. He is preceded in death by his father: Johnnie Alvin Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother: Ocia Greene-Cottrell and father: Nelson Cottrell; brother: Dextor Thomas (Princess); of Houston, Texas; sisters: Carolyn Golightly, Paris Faith Jenkins and Sandra Garrett; aunts: Novia Jackson (Delbert); of Huntsville, TX., Martha Caldwell; of Corpus Christi, TX., Viola Terry and Bobbi Givens; of San Antonio, TX. and Laura Thomas; of Houston, TX.; uncles: Walter Thomas; of Rosebud, TX., Joe Greene (Mary); of Tyler, TX., Charles Greene (Annie) and Jesse Greene (Brenda); of Houston, TX., and a host of cousins, friends and family.
