Luther Lee Boone Jr.  was born on August 24, 1945, to Luther Sr. and Lydia Gamble-Boone in Huntsville. He earned his wings to glory on August 27, 2019.

Luther received his formal education in the Walker County area. He was a member of the Sam Houston High School graduating class of 1963.

Luther was married for over forty years to the love of his life; the former Jo Ann Robinson. Together they raised three children.

Luther was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; siblings: Henrietta Prather, Wilma Carter, Shirley Ann Plattenburg, Henry Lee Boone, Joe Harold Boone and Milton (Junior) Paul.

Luther has left behind memories with his children: Mona (Peaches) Boone, Meriyaki (Penny) Boone and Luther Boone III; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Iris Ross and Fountain Nell Boone, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
