J. Earnest Perue, Jr. was born on April 9, 1947 to J. Earnest Sr. and Dorothy Perue. He attended public school in Walker County and worked in construction all of his life.

J. Earnest was affectionately known by many as Uncle Bubba. He was a strong, good and kind man. He was always willing to share anything he had with his family, friends and neighbors.

J. Earnest leaves precious memories in his passing to a very special aunt: Ruth Willis; brothers: Edgar Ray and Joseph Perue; sister: Josephine Perue; nieces: Carolyn Johnson, Savannah Kelley and Tiffany Perue; nephew: Pat Kelley (Kendra); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
