On October 3, 1953, in Huntsville, Texas, a beautiful baby girl was born to Ethel McAdams and Fred Carter whom they named Freddie Sue Carter.
Freddie's Christian experience began at an early age at Paul Chapel Baptist Church, in Huntsville, Texas.
Freddie received her education in Huntsville, Texas with the class of 1972, where she earned a scholarship in art from an art institute. She also ran track between 1970-1971, and also had a passion for softball. Freddie and her sister Phyllis, along with a few more friends would get together and play against other teams from different parts of Huntsville.
Freddie had a heart of gold and a mouth of you name it. She was known by many and loved by everyone.
Freddie was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Willie Peterson, and sister: Phyllis Gillaspie.
Freddie is survived by her children, Koronna Dock (Dedrick), Steven Carter (Rubie), Taiwinda Byrd (Richard), and Charles Carter (Jeanie (fiancé); grandchildren: Gardarian, Joshua, Christopher, ShaMarion Blanks, James Simon, Kanard, Katavion Riles, Janesha Carter, Johnta Blanks, Kanetra Riles, CharNesha, Charles Jr.; twenty-three great-grandchildren that she loved dearly; sisters: Della McGowan (Bobby), and Rose Williams, a host of nieces and nephews, two very special friends: Frank Massie and Florence Massey.
