Faren Allison
Boone
Dec 11, 1956 — Aug 19, 2021
We knew we were blessed with an angel, and it was confirmed when she earned her wings.
Wings of beauty, love, grace, servitude, kindness, selflessness, respect, and so much more.
Faren, Pee-Wee, as some may know her began this journey called life on Tuesday, December 11, 1956. The youngest of her mother's seven children, and a twin, she became a teen wife and mother, and that childhood love affair with Billy Boone produced 2 children, 11 grandchildren and 48 years of marriage and friendship.
Faren, a life-long resident of Huntsville, was a retired correctional officer of nearly 30 years. Her "light" impacted lives in the workforce, through her leadership of righteousness and her words of encouragement to have longevity on the job. She was quoted having said, "Respect yourself and most will give respect. If they don't, don't worry about it---they'll learn!"
She was also very supportive in her Huntsville community. A founding member of Ministry of Light Church, she was faithful in the church choir, and various committees; and along with her husband made a weekly commitment to keeping the church clean. This work ethic carried over into her volunteerism during political campaigns, as well as local health initiatives—the testimonies of her servitude are unceasing.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Faren are her mother Hattie Ross, her father Altus Ross, and her sisters Faye Smith, Everine Gerard, and Edith Temple. Loved ones that will miss Faren until they meet again are her husband Billy; her daughter CeCe; her daughter DeDe; and son in-law Shlomo. Her grandchildren TaRori, Basha, Ade, Aza, Vual, Nava, Galon, Colev, Chai, Nasik, and Rahm. Her brother Charles Mock (Zettie); and her sisters Cheryl Beard, Dorothy Kirkland (Royal), Joan Jones (Charles), and twin sister Karen Hawkins (Milford), Mary Bruno and Elsie Ross.
