Deborah Massie was born on September 19, 1954 in Houston, Texas. During the time of birth she was joined by her twin sister Denise on that day. Her parents Willie and Jonnie Smith, were brought double joy.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Tiffany Massie; granddaughter: Te'Aisa and the father of her children: Dewitt Massie.

Deborah is survived by her children: Kelton Massie (Laquesha), Aasia Massie and Toyella Massie; all of Dallas, TX.; step-daughter: Sonia Taylor; of Huntsville, TX.; grandchildren: Navonte (Mercedes), Quentavis, Dontay (Sharonda), Cameron, Melvin, Jamel, Keldon, Timothy, Padeishea, Kember, Kiasmine; six great-grandchildren; sisters: Denise Smith; of Corsicana, TX. and Hattie Mills; of Huntsville, TX.; great-aunt: Betty Smith (Odell); nephew: Jonathan and devoted nephew: Robert Smith; nieces: Valerie, Demetra and Shenivlem; special friends: Joyce Fay McGowan Gerry Doughty, Eloise Butler and Virginia Bradley,  and a host of additional relatives and friends.
