Betty Lois Clark was born on December 19, 1936, in New Waverly, Texas, to the late William Clark, Jr. and Bettie Pearl Cain Clark. One of ten children, she shared a close bond with her siblings and was raised in a loving Christian home. At an early age, Betty accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life, allowing God’s word to guide her every step.

Following her education, Betty became a nursing assistant and faithfully served others through her works at the VA Hospital, Huntsville Memorial Hospital, and as a private caregiver. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and dedication to caring for others made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

Betty was blessed with many talents. She was an exceptional seamstress, a gifted crocheter, and found great joy in creating handmade treasures for family and friends. She also loved music and faithfully served as a musician and vocalist in several churches, using her gifts to glorify God and encourage others through song.

Betty married Emmett Williams, and from their union came one beloved daughter: Jacquelyn Y. Williams “Jackie”. She was later blessed with two grandsons: Reginald D’Wayne Scott and Rikki Charles Scott, whom she loved dearly. She later found love again with Johnny Johnson, and together they shared many cherished memories. Her family was her greatest treasure.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter; grandson: Rikki Charles Scott; and her eight siblings: Eloise Clark Bradford, Ray Odell Clark, Wilma Clark Gilliam, Birdie Mae Clark Jones, William Edward Clark, Genice Clark Shivers, George Washington, and Barbara Ann Clark.

Bettie leaves to cherish her memories her grandson: Reginald D’Wayne Scott Sr. (Rita); great-grandsons: Aaron Dewayne Lewis, Reginald D’Wayne Scott Jr., Nicholas D’Vaughn Scott, Rikki Charles Scott Jr., and Michael Scott; six great-great-grandchildren; her beloved brother: Rev. Jesse Alonzo Clark, Sr. (Ruthie Mae Clark); and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended relatives, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
