Sep 12, 1939 — Feb 10, 2022
Bettie Ola Smither, a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to countless numbers of many people, will be remembered for not only that, but also for her warm beautiful smile.
Bettie became a new blessing to her parents Roy, Sr. and Texana Collins Smither on September 12, 1939, in Huntsville, Texas.
Bettie grew up in the Walker County community and received her formal education there as well. She was a proud member of the Sam Houston High School graduating class of 1957. In later years her work ethics shined through. She worked for several years with HISD Transportation Department.
