Augusta Cecil Wyatt was born July 30, 1947, in Point Blank, Texas to John and Lensie Wyatt.

Augusta attended school in Oakhurst where he met and married his high school sweetheart Ruby Jewel Harrison Wyatt. He confessed his love for Christ and joined Eastside Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Superintendent James Elmore.

Augusta was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister (Nancy Parker), brothers (John, Jr., John Thomas and Doc Johnson Sr.) and son (Troy, Sr.).

Augusta leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ruby, two sons: Augusta, Jr. (Roslyn) and Christopher, Sr.; three daughters: Vickie Nettles (Michael), Shonda Burrell (Kenneth), and Kaneisha Russell (Donald); eighteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, his sister, Earnestine Lawrence and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
