Arthur Eugene Ferguson was the second of three children born to the union of J. Robert Ferguson Sr. and Alberta English-Ferguson, on August 31, 1940.

Arthur attended school in Huntsville, Texas. He was raised and baptized at an early age and became a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and attended services while growing up. In his later years, during his sickness, he continued to acknowledge that he knew, and had a personal relationship with the Lord.

Arthur was a very loving and caring person. He had a kind soul, and loved all of his children, nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed.

On May 1, 2019, Arthur answered his Creator's call to rest. He is preceded in death by his parents: J. Robert Ferguson Sr. and Alberta English-Ferguson and brother: J. Robert Ferguson Jr. He leaves to cherish his loving memories; children: Patricia Alexander (Willie), Christopher Tyrone Cooper, Lavette Cooper, Rodney Jermaine Cooper; step-son: Larry Jones (Charlotte); sister: Shirley Rolling; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and  friends.
