Annie Della Bookman

Annie Della Bookman was born on December 24, 1924, in Grimes County, Texas. Annie was a woman of unwavering faith, enduring strength and unconditional love. She spent more than a century blessing the lives of those around her through her kindness, wisdom and servant’s heart.

Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, two sons, siblings, and one of her cherished great-great grandsons.

For many decades, Annie faithfully served as a devoted member of Midway Baptist Church. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she remained committed to her church family throughout the years. Those who knew her knew she had a servant’s heart. She found joy in cooking for others, making sure everyone who entered her home had a full plate and felt welcome.

In her later years, those blessed to spend time with her came to know another side of her personality. She was wonderfully funny, refreshingly blunt, and never hesitated to speak her mind. Her honesty often brought laughter, and her quick wit made every visit memorable. These qualities, along with her loving spirit, are what her family will treasure forever.

Cherishing her beautiful legacy is her loving family, including ten grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, cherished church family, and countless friends whose lives were richly blessed by her unwavering love and gentle spirit.

A life spanning 101 years is a rare and beautiful blessing. Annie witnessed generations come and go, celebrated countless milestones, and remained a steady example of resilience, faith, and unconditional love. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her lessons, laughter, tradition, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
