On August 1, 1949, a beautiful baby girl was born to Olan Frank Johnson and Ella Lee Rollins-Johnson, in Huntsville, Texas.

Abba attended the Huntsville public schools, where she graduated from Sam Houston High School, class of 1968. She gave her life to Christ at an early age where she attended Northside Church of Christ and remained a faithful member until her health began to decline.

Abba worked for many years at Sam Houston State University. Following working for SHSU, Abba chose to baby sit her nieces and nephews.

Abba was preceded in death by her parents: Olan F. and Ella Lee Johnson; sisters: Reba Jenkins and Ora Lee McKinney; brothers: L.C. Johnson, Mervin Johnson and James Olan Johnson.

Abba is survived by her devoted soulmate for over 25 years: Lonnie Hayes; brothers: Ervin Johnson and Deloyce Johnson (Frankye); stepmother: Debra Johnson; stepchildren: Christopher Hayes, Lonnie Hayes, Jr. and Kimberly Smith (Christopher); step-grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Christian and Chance; brother-in-law: Cornelius Jenkins; special friend and caretaker: Annie Lee; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
